Our school library has an extensive and ever-growing collection of popular children’s Picture Story and Fiction titles.
The Non-fiction section is regularly updated with titles covering the wide interests of our students. These include books on sport, spiders, sharks, dinosaurs, craft, cooking and countries of the world.
The Bi-lingual section includes Arabic, Farsi, Hmong,Turkish and Vietnamese books and helps our newly arrived students to adjust to the school environment with books of familiar language content.
We have recently introduced a Student Author section where students can read and/or borrow books created by other children and classes in the school.
Students are able to access a list of the latest additions to the Library by checking the Library News folder in P:drive. (or the Library Owl icon on the computer desktop)
All classes attend the library every week and students need to have a Meadow Heights Primary School Library Bag to borrow books.
Parents are kept informed through ‘Library Corner’ which is in the school Newsletter every week.
These are some of our current displays.
