Perceptual Motor Program

The Perceptual Motor Program is aimed at developing the skills of Prep children.  Sessions are held on a weekly basis with children working through four 'stations' or activities each week.  Each station is designed to develop or provide experience of a specific skill such as hand-eye coordination, balance, body movement or control.  Stations are repeated over several weeks before student performance is evaluated.  Sessions are held in the gymnasium with each child working through four stations over a half hour session.  Classroom teachers prepare the chidlren for PMP activities by working through a half hour 'floor' or 'warm up' session prior to arriving at the Gymnasium.
