The Visual Arts curriculum involves children participating in the areas of Painting and Printing, Modelling, Threads and Textiles, Drawing, Construction and Collage.  Each year level engages in Visual Arts for three terms per year, and cover each of these areas in those three terms.
If any student suffers from an allergy, it is important that the Art teacher is informed, as many art room products may contain allergic substances and may cause reactions during art classes.  We need to try to eliminate this possibility as far as possible!!  Also, if we see any skin reactions due to art room materials, we will let parents know immediately.
All children are required to bring along an art smock to each class, as this helps reduce uniform damage
Children in Prep have learned about Colours - Primary colours, Secondary colours and the Neutral colours.  They have also had a go at using Water Colour paints.  Here are some examples.  There are more on the art room windows!
Below are some photographs taken in the art room, showcasing a variety of Visual Arts areas,
These pictures will change frequently, so keep coming back to see if your work is being displayed.
